Greenhorns: A Weird Space RPG Quickstart
A downloadable game
In Greenhorns your crew will create planets and fill the cosmos with new incredible life. Survive anomalies that spawn from these worlds and stabilize the planets for long term life. Define the planets’ histories and futures through the loot you retrieve and return home to a heroes welcome. You are Kruxian. You are chosen.
The Quickstart is 100% playable and serves best with one shots and short campaigns. There's about 12-18 hours worth of gameplay packed in!
The system is rules-lite with all player-facing rules fitting on the character sheet. It's quick to pick up and mixes adventure gaming mechanics with narrative elements for dangerous shared storytelling.
The Greenhorns Quickstart PDF will always be fully playable and completely free for anyone who wants to play Greenhorns.
The final version is expected to be ~100+ page hardcover book. It will be funding in January 2024. You can sign up to be notified on the Kickstarter launch day here:

I had a great time playing this recently! The whole thing is really flavorful and just cool! My character was basically a Destiny warlock wielding a laser-firing prism blade who died in heroic combat against a demon terrorizing a shifting plane of a forming planet. My allies took up my sword to cut them down and win the day! Tons of good stuff in a seemingly small package.
